Jarian Derrough

From One Therapist's Journey to a Community Built on Growth

Jarian Derrough is a licensed massage therapist, Massage Therapy Instructor, and NASM Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist with more than a decade of experience in clinical practice and education.

A graduate of Parker University, Jarian has been a licensed massage therapist since 2011. His clinical focus is sports and orthopedic massage, with an emphasis on helping therapists understand the body, think critically, and develop practical techniques that produce meaningful results for their clients.

But Jarian's journey as an educator began with something deeply personal.

In 2017, Jarian decided to pursue his Massage Therapy Instructor license. At the time, he needed financial support to make that next step possible. His mother believed in him and gave him the money he needed to obtain his instructor license.

That investment changed the direction of his career.

What began as one person's belief in Jarian's potential became an opportunity for him to invest in hundreds of other massage therapists and students.

Since becoming an instructor, Jarian has taught hundreds of massage therapy students at Cortiva Institute, helping future therapists develop the knowledge and skills needed to enter the profession with confidence. He also served as the Massage Therapy Coordinator for the San Antonio Commanders of the Alliance of American Football (AAF), where he trained and supported therapists working with professional athletes.

These experiences shaped Jarian's philosophy of education: massage therapy education should be practical, relevant, and immediately useful.
